Happy Father's Day!

Two posts in two days - wow! :)

I wanted to take a minute to wish a very Happy Father's Day to Neal and my Dad. We also think of Neal's Dad celebrating Father's Day in Heaven with Jesus. This is the 4th year he has been gone from us here on earth - what a wonderful day when we will be reunited in Heaven!

Our entire family at Thanksgiving (missing John's wife Emily) - you can figure out which one is my dad! :)

Neal with his mom and dad at our wedding (sorry this is a scanned photo and the quality isn't so great).

We are heading out to go fishing and have a picnic, so I'm sure there will be more pics to come this week. Have a great day.

Growing Up - Too Fast!

Hello all. Yes, it's been a while since my last post. I truly don't know where all my time goes. As always, I feel like I run in circles and accomplish very little. Oh well.

Neal and I have been talking lately about how both of our cuties are growing up way too fast. Taylor wants to do everything herself these days - she is quite independent and that is a hard adjustment for me (for those of you that don't know I am very OCD and like things done just a certain way - what's wrong with that?!). She is also venturing into new things - like playing on the computer. She has become quite skilled with the mouse and when and where to click to get to where she wants to go...amazing how quickly kids pick up on these things.

We can also add "Potty Girl" to her lists of titles now. She officially started on Monday and is doing great! I was very nervous about trying because I thought she truly wasn't ready...well, I guess I was wrong. She hasn't mastered it yet, but she sure is on her way!

Now onto our little man. He is babbling like crazy these days. "Dada" can almost be written in his baby book as his first word. Although his favorite thing to say is "blah blah blah" - I think he is tired of hearing everyone else talk. :) He still isn't crawling, but he can sure get wherever he wants to go via rolling or scooting on his butt. He loves to stand and hold onto things. I think it's because he enjoys the higher view instead of being stuck on the floor all of the time.

This next week should be crazy. My Mom will be having surgery on Tuesday - please keep her in your prayers that all will go well with the surgery and she will have an easy recovery. The kids have regular check-ups at the doctor on Thursday (Bryce's 9 month and Taylor's 3 year). And of course Friday is the day we've been waiting for - Taylor's battery of tests in Indy with the GI doc. Please continue to pray for her - please pray for her to not be scared, the doctor and nurses who will be caring for her, answers to these issues she's having (we know that the blood work and biopsy will take a while to get back, but we are hoping he can give us some answers that day), no problems with the anesthesia (going under or coming to), and peace of mind for Mommy and Daddy. Thank you for all of your prayers - I haven't felt too nervous yet so it has to be the Lord carrying me along :).

Closing with some cute pics...

Loving on each other. :)

Need to run. Baby shower and cookout for Father's Day today. Always busy...
