Birthday Boy!

Yes, it's been almost a month. Time flies...and I don't keep up. We have been so busy with school, church, family, more doctors appointments and we actually got out for some family fun while camping last weekend (another post).

Bryce's birthday was great! Cannot believe he has turned ONE and is now almost 13 months. He is such a sweetie. Fun was had by all at his Barnyard/Farm birthday party.

He really enjoyed opening presents and only got squirmy (sp?) a few times - he loved ripping the paper and pulling tissues out of the gift bags. Everything is an adventure when you are ONE! :)

New Purdue hat from Mr. Ryan and Miss Holly - Bryce isn't quite sure he wants to wear it, but he sure looks darn cute in it!

Reading a new touch and feel farm book from Uncle Sonny and Aunt Barbara - he loves spending time on Mommy's lap looking at his new books that he rec'd from several people. We love to get new books!

This special puppy dog was MADE by Aunt Kristin - she wanted to have it finished and give it to Bryce when he was born, but with Conner's BMT and many long weeks spent in Cincy she was finally able to complete it for Bryce's 1st b-day. What a treasure this little doggie is - as you can see by the pictures - Bryce just LOVES it! He can say "doggie", which made it even more special. The whole family had a say in the creation of this little doggie - they all worked together choosing what material would be used where and so on....they did a fantastic job! This gift definitely brought tears to my eyes (plus Kelsey wrote one of her famous poems for Bryce, which didn't help! :)

He is actually kissing the doggie in this picture - so sweet!

Kelsey, Taylor and Mommy helped Bryce blow out his candle. He couldn't even wait until we were done singing to him to start diving into the cake - he ate, ate and ate....he would have eaten the whole thing if I would have let him...no way with bedtime only an hour away! :)

The clean-up. You can tell his was just thrilled about this part.

I have to mention how proud I was of Taylor that day. She was such a good big sister...so excited for Bryce and watched patiently from the sidelines all day long. She helped him with presents, blowing out his candle, etc. Even though we see jealousy from time to time around home - she did a super job of being Bryce's big sister for the day!
Now it was time for jammies and bedtime, but first Bryce had some special time with Nanny Fink and his new doggie...

I cannot believe a year has past since this special little guy came into our lives...we love you little man!
More later...
